Paste the link to your Google listing and the rating you have already earned counts here. Years of work does not reset because you signed up somewhere new.
The problem this fixes
A new profile with no reviews looks the same whether the business is a week old or has been running for fifteen years. That is a bad outcome for the tradie, who is invisible until strangers take a chance on them, and a bad outcome for the customer, who is deprived of the most useful information available about somebody who has been trading since before the platform existed.
What we keep, and what we refuse to keep
We store the identifier for your listing, permanently, and cache the rating for a day so we are not asking Google the same question repeatedly. We never store the review text. It is fetched when a customer opens your profile and shown with Google’s own attribution and links.
That is not caution for its own sake — it is what Google’s terms allow, checked against their actual policies rather than assumed. It also means what a customer reads is current, not a copy of what was true whenever we last looked.
Reviews left here work differently
They can only come from customers we actually introduced you to, one per job. So the two sets are doing different jobs: your Google rating is the breadth of your history, and reviews here are specific to work that came through this platform. Both are shown, and neither is presented as the other.
What happens when we cannot reach Google
You are told we could not look — not that there is nothing there. The difference matters. A failed lookup that displays as “no reviews” is a lie about a business with two hundred of them, and it is the kind of lie nobody notices until it has cost somebody work.
