Every review here came from a real introduction

You cannot leave a review for a tradie unless we introduced you to them for a specific job. Not as a policy anyone enforces by hand — the attempt is refused, with the message “You can only review a tradie we put you in touch with.”

Why that is the rule

Review sections stop being worth reading the moment anyone can write in them. Two things get in: praise from people with a stake in the business, and complaints from people who never hired anybody. Both are indistinguishable from the real thing once written, so the only reliable fix is to make them impossible to submit.

Tying a review to a recorded introduction does that. If we never connected you, there is nothing to attach a review to.

One job, one review

Each introduction carries exactly one review. You cannot post a second on the same job, which stops both a pile-on after a bad week and a run of five-star entries from one friendly customer.

Reviewers are shown by first name only

A full name, plus a suburb, plus a description of work done at a house is enough to identify a specific household. Somebody writing an honest account of a tradesperson who has been inside their home should not be publishing that, so we do not.

Google reviews sit beside ours, and we keep none of the text

A tradie can link their Google listing, and their existing rating is shown alongside reviews left here. That text is fetched from Google when you open the profile and is never stored on our side — we keep only the identifier for the listing itself. The reviews you read are Google’s, current, and attributed to them.

It also means a tradie who has spent years building a reputation somewhere else does not arrive here looking like they have none.
